Healthy Toddler Snack: 4-Ingredient Banana Oat Bites

If you’re like me, you’ve probably searched for the perfect toddler snack — something quick, healthy, and that your toddler will actually eat (bonus points if it’s mess-free!). These 4-Ingredient Banana Oat Bites are one of my favorite go-to snacks.

They’re soft, naturally sweet, and easy for little hands to hold — plus, they’re packed with wholesome ingredients you likely already have at home.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup rolled oats (quick oats work too!)
  • ¼ cup add-ins (optional): mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, chia seeds, or blueberries

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

Mash bananas in a bowl until smooth

Add in vanilla extract.

Stir in oats until well combined. Fold in your choice of add-ins (if using). I used mini blueberries. For larger blueberries you could slice them in half first.

Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet and gently flatten.

Bake for 12–15 minutes, until set and lightly golden.

Let cool and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (or freeze for later!).

Why We Love This Snack:

  • No Added Sugar: The natural sweetness comes from bananas.
  • Portable: Perfect for the diaper bag or lunchbox.
  • Customizable: Add whatever your toddler loves — cinnamon, blueberries, raisins, or nut butter drizzle for extra flavor.

Toddler Tip:

Let your toddler help mash the bananas — it’s messy, but they love being part of the process!
